TUSNE Finance Campaign

TUSNE, with the support of GMB, Prospect, and Unite, urges their senior reps at each nuclear site to collect signatures for a letter asking financial institutions (banks and pension funds) to ask the Government to urgently publish the green taxonomy consultation, which will include the green labelling of nuclear energy.

The “green label” for nuclear is essential for the next large-scale project at Wylfa, including selected SMRs and AMRs in this Parliament to reach a Final Investment Decision from the broadest possible pool of capital at the cheapest possible rates. Investors can take their money elsewhere if there is continued uncertainty over nuclear status in the UK.

We must stand strong against anti-nuclear campaign groups to ensure that their noise is not mistaken for volume by the pension funds, banks, and investors who could potentially invest in SZC, future large-scale projects and GBN's selected SMRs.
